She discovered her passion for this field when she was in Sydney, whilst giving people therapeutic massages at Bondi Night Markets. Inspired with this knowledge she returned to the UK in 2001 and went on a voyage of self discovery that revolved around health and well being and setting up at One Holistic Therapy.
Lubna also works for Victim Support, supporting domestic violence victims and raising awareness of domestic violence within hospitals throughout Greater Manchester.
She is also a member of the British Psychological Society as well the International Stress Management Association.
I am passionate about empowering others so that they are able to lead a fuller and happier life. I believe that many of us get into a rut and sometimes we find it hard to find a way to get out of it.
We often feel and know that there must be “something else” but we are unsure about what it is and sometimes we might not even know what is wrong, but that we feel out of sorts.
We struggle on for months and maybe even years, before something clicks in our heads and we decide, that enough is enough and that we want to do something to change.
I see my role as a stress coach like a guide, working with you whilst you go on your journey of self discovery and change. I will work with you, so that you feel supported, motivated and encouraged so that you feel able to begin to make the changes in your stressful life that you have been aching to change.
I will work with you over a 5 week period, addressing your stress. I will work with you in a way that is focussed, goal orientated and specific. You will be set “homework” each week and for best results, I encourage you to truly throw yourself into the process. I have seen incredible changes with my clients and I know that you will get results as well.
We will address a number of themes each week that revolve around stress. This will allow you to understand your stress better and for you to feel like you are in control of your stress rather than the other way round. My clients have said that they have begun to sleep better, feel more confident and have instigated changes in the way that they work that makes it less stressful.
Stress coaching is about you, your life and making the changes so that you are able to deal with your stress better.
Who I work with
I work with adults on an individual basis. I will work with you if you are feeling stressed, have difficulty sleeping, experience anxiety, panic attacks, digestive problems, headaches, muscle tension, have difficulty “switching off”, want to learn how to deal with stress and so on. In a nutshell, if you are stressed and want to do something about it, then I want to work with you.
If you are unsure if this service is for you, want some clarification or just want a chat, then drop me an email with your contact number or call and leave me a message. I will return your call within a working day.
I love what I do. I love seeing my clients transform during the 5 sessions that they are working with me. I love seeing them blossom and begin to lead their lives more in the way that they want to.
I love inspiring my clients, guiding them, so that they feel motivated to make the changes in their life so that they feel less stressed. I get a complete and utter buzz knowing that I was part of that process.
I love that the skills my clients learn whilst they are with me, are skills for life and that they can use them whenever they choose, helping them become more resilient to future stress.
I work at the Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester on Tuesday evenings between 5pm and 8pm. To book please call 0161 227 0000.
