Watching the space jump yesterday was scary, inspirational and really made me think about what we are capable of achieving.
When Felix Baumgartner stepped off the ledge of his capsule and went hurtling down to Earth, it was awe inspiring. What was going through his head, how did it feel and how was it changing him and his attitude towards “life on earth”.
This event is probably life changing for many and having watched the interview on Youtube, I wonder how many people this space jump will have impacted.
Our everyday stresses, worries, anxieties about work, family, finance, must seem incredibly insignificant when you are on the edge of the world, with Felix saying that it was the most humbling experience ever.
In his interview, he spoke about the significance of team work and how each and every person had a role to play. there was intricate planning, step by step procedure and as he said, we should “stick to the plan”.
Important lessons for the workplace – by recognising the role of each individual in making your office space a great place to be. From the cleaner to your manager to the CEO in Head Office. Each person is important and should be recognised for their valuable contribution towards the success of your workplace.
We champion offices that recognise and reward their staff for their dedication, productivity and commitment to their employers. One easy way of doing this is by introducing our onsite massage programme and say a well deserved “Thank you” to your employees.
