At One attended MMU in July as part of their Mind Body Spirit week, to hold their beginners massage course that highlighted how to relieve stress and tension using massage. It was a hot day, (day two of the heatwave/what some would call summer) and we were delighted to have a sold out event kicking off the week to a great start.
We conducted a survey with participants and many said that they attended because the course content “looked really interesting” and that they wanted to “learn how to massage safely”. Students learnt massage techniques, tips on how to relax and were given lots of practice to appreciate how massage can help to overcome stress.
It was amazing to see how massage course for beginners helped everyone to relax very quickly. The thing that people liked most about the course was that it was practical, enjoyable and with lots of opportunity for hands on learning.
We look forward to developing a strong relationship with MMU and hope that all those involved in their massage courses for beginners will continue to use their new found relaxation techniques upon friends, family and loved ones. It is our goal that we help with stress reduction using the modality of massage. Whilst making it accessible to everyone, so that the benefits of massage become far reaching.
